    • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of power system architects and engineers responsible for Infrastructure and Server/Datacenter power solutions.
    • Set clear objectives, define roles and development plans, conduct performance and career discussions, recognize strong contributions, and address performance gaps promptly and fairly.
    • Own the team’s technical strategy and portfolio of complex power electronics system architectures (1 - 250 kW), ensuring alignment with electrical performance, reliability, safety, scalability, cost, and business requirements.
    • Translate business, customer, and technology priorities into executable annual and multi-year plans, including program roadmaps, staffing plans, capability development, budgets, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
    • Prioritize and allocate engineering resources across Proof-of-Concept and reference-design programs; manage scope, dependencies, risks, schedules, and trade-offs to deliver predictable results.
    • Create an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative team culture that promotes technical excellence, ownership, innovation, constructive challenge, and systematic knowledge sharing.
    • Recruit, onboard, retain, and succession-plan critical talent; identify skill gaps and build the capabilities required for next-generation power delivery solutions.
    • Establish architecture principles, design methodologies, review practices, documentation standards, and reusable platform strategies that improve quality, efficiency, and time to market.
    • Ensure robust system-level trade-off analysis covering efficiency, power density, cost, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, availability, and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide technical and managerial oversight from architecture and simulation through schematic implementation, system validation, documentation, and customer enablement, while empowering technical leads to own detailed execution.
    • Serve as the management escalation point for critical architectural, integration, execution, resource, and customer issues, driving timely decisions and corrective actions.
    • Influence Renesas product and technology roadmaps by consolidating market insights, customer needs, portfolio gaps, and system value propositions into clear product requirements and investment recommendations.
    • Build effective partnerships with Chip Design, Applications, Software, Product Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Operations, external vendors, customers, ecosystem partners, and industry bodies.
    • Represent the team in leadership and customer reviews, communicate progress and risks with clarity, and ensure commitments, decisions, and follow-up actions are documented and completed.

    Qualifications

    • MSEE is required; PhD is preferred, with 12+ years of relevant experience in power-system and power-electronics architecture, design, and development across the 1 - 250 kW range.
    • Proven experience directly managing, developing, and retaining engineers or system architects in a global, matrixed organization, including goal setting, performance management, hiring, coaching, and career development.
    • Demonstrated success building high-performing technical teams and delivering multiple complex power-electronics platforms from concept and architecture through prototype validation, productization, and customer adoption.
    • Strong organizational leadership and portfolio-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing programs, allocate resources, manage budgets and schedules, and make sound decisions under technical and business constraints.
    • Recognized expertise in electrical engineering fundamentals, system architecture, and structured problem solving, with sufficient technical depth to guide design reviews and challenge assumptions without becoming a bottleneck for the team.
    • Expert knowledge of power-conversion topologies (AC-DC, inverter, isolated DC-DC converters, LDO, and switch-mode topologies such as buck, boost, and buck-boost), magnetics, control theory, thermal design, protection, and discrete power devices (MOSFET, IGBT, GaN, SiC).
    • Strong understanding of power-electronics and system simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB Simulink, SIMetrix/Simplis, SPICE) and experience establishing modelling and design practices across engineering teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead feasibility and trade-off studies comparing electrical performance, reliability, power density, Bill of Materials (BOM), manufacturing complexity, and total solution cost.
    • Exceptional communication, executive presentation, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills, with demonstrated success aligning customers and worldwide cross-functional groups including FAEs, Sales, Power IC design teams, Hardware and Software engineers, Product Marketing Managers, and Business Development.
    • Deep experience in power-supply architectures for communication infrastructure, datacenters, traditional servers, and AI servers; direct engagement with hyperscale customers or platform partners is strongly preferred.
    • Hands-on understanding of schematic design, PCB layout, thermal management, safety, and EMC/EMI mitigation for high-power applications (1 - 250 kW), sufficient to guide reviews, assess risk, and support resolution of critical implementation issues.
    • Substantial experience with wide-bandgap devices, including GaN and SiC, and the ability to evaluate their system-level value, implementation trade-offs, and relevance to product and solution roadmaps.
    • Evidence of broader technical impact—such as patents, publications, standards participation, conference contributions, architecture methodologies, or reusable platform innovations—is preferred.
    • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive leadership, ethical decision-making, cross-cultural collaboration, and development of future technical and people leaders.
