We are currently looking for an Associate Product Engineer to join our Hi-Reliability team in Palm Bay, Florida. In this role, you'll support bringing advanced IC products from development through characterization, qualification, and production, working alongside experienced engineering teams to learn, solve product challenges, and support semiconductor technologies designed for demanding space and high-reliability applications.

Job Description

As an Associate Product Engineer on our Hi-Reliability team in Palm Bay, Florida, you'll apply your electrical engineering knowledge to support high-reliability ICs for space and harsh environments. You will assist with projects through NPI, characterization, qualification, and production release under the guidance of senior engineering staff. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary experts in design, test, reliability, packaging, radiation effects, and manufacturing to learn product engineering practices, analyze data, and ensure the delivery of reliable semiconductor solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Engineering activities for new ICs from initial silicon evaluation through characterization, qualification, and production release.
  • Assist in coordinating engineering activities with IC design, test, applications, packaging, reliability, and manufacturing teams.
  • Perform lab bench testing and IC characterization using scopes and standard test equipment to evaluate electrical performance.
  • Collect and perform basic statistical data analysis on characterization, test, and yield data to assist in identifying trends and performance margins.
  • Partner with Test Engineering to support characterization setup, bench-to-ATE data correlation, and product readiness tasks.
  • Assist in root-cause investigations for product and manufacturing issues.
  • Contribute to documentation for product specifications, evaluation reports, and qualification criteria.
  • Communicate technical findings and progress clearly within project teams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or semiconductor product evaluation.
  • Strong foundation in Analog/Mixed-Signal and circuit theory (relevant university coursework required).
  • Lab proficiency: Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and standard bench test setups.
  • Basic programming skills in C, C++, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Basic understanding of statistical data analysis (e.g., mean, standard deviation, distribution).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of power management topologies (e.g., buck/boost converters, LDOs).
  • Familiarity with semiconductor data analysis tools (such as JMP, Spotfire, or custom Python scripts).
  • Exposure to semiconductor Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or silicon bring-up.
  • Internship or academic project experience related to IC testing, silicon debug, or electrical validation.
  • Interest in space, radiation-hardened, or high-reliability semiconductor applications.
