Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Engineer – CAD to develop and deploy Frontend and Backend tools and flows for Digital Designs done in the company. This role is part of the global CAD team.

Job Description

  • Own some part of the overall CAD solution and be responsible for WW engagement with customers.
  • Good understanding of Digital Implementation Methodologies.
  • Hands-on in development & debug of CAD flows and with industry leading EDA tools in Digital Designs
  • Proactively engage with customers through regular follow-ups, tool training sessions, and consistent support throughout the entire deployment process.
  • Hands-on in mature software development practices, leading programming languages for potential AI/ML development tasks
  • Expected to work in a dynamic design environment
  • Evaluate EDA tools and flows for improved design efficiency and turnaround time
  • Experienced in leading small team.

Qualifications

  • BTech/MTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 15+ years of experience in EDA/CAD.
  • Proven experience in supporting mature-node technologies (e.g., 22nm, 12nm).
  • Expertise in Synopsys/Cadence RTL to GDS digital design flow.
     (e.g., synthesis tools, implementation tools and STA tools)
  • Strong scripting skills (Tcl, Perl, Python) for automation of RTL to GDS digital design flow  (e.g., synthesis, implementation tools and STA flows)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving, teamwork, attention to detail, commitment to task, and quality focus
  • Can – do attitude, openness to new environment, people and culture
  • Ability to propose innovative and leading-edge solutions
  • Strong drive & ability to coordinate work across highly experienced global teams
