Job Description
We are seeking an Automation Engineer with 2 to 3 years of Python development experience to design, build, and maintain our test automation framework.
In this role, you will develop infrastructure to validate the performance and reliability of our next-generation connectivity chips.
You will collaborate closely with hardware designers, system architects, and validation teams to streamline testing and accelerate time-to-market.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Development: Design, scale, and optimize Python-based automation frameworks.
- Test Automation: Create robust automation scripts to validate connectivity chip functionalities.
- Equipment Integration: Driver development to control laboratory instruments and test setups.
- CI/CD Pipeline Support: Integrate automated test suites into continuous deployment workflows.
- User Support: Guide & support users working with the platform to develop and execute tests.
- Triaging & Analysis: Debug framework failures and analyze complex test automation logs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of professional software development or test automation experience.
- Language Proficiency: Strong, production-grade Python programming skills (OOP, scripting, libraries).
- Core Concepts: Solid understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
- Tools: Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD platforms like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications (Advantages):
- RF Expertise: Experience with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding of protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, or L2/L3.
- Hardware Interaction: Familiarity with laboratory automation protocols like VISA, SCPI, or PyVISA.
