Job Description
Individual will be responsible for managing the hardware development of SOC/MCU from concept to mass production. During the life cycle of the project, he would be responsible for
Responsibilities:
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in of HW Chip development (CPU’s/GPU’s/MCU’s/SoC’s/Memory dev etc.)
- Able to plan and manage complex Projects spanning across multiple departments and different development phases (from concept to production).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, verification, software, and manufacturing to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.
- Ensure & manage project KPIs.
- Identify the opportunities to improve productivity & development efficiency.
- Should be able to upfront Identify & mitigate the risks.
- Managing timely and clear communication upwards & within the team.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, including senior management and customers.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
- Sharing the best practices with other project managers.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in hardware project management, with a focus on SoC/MCU development.
- Able to communicate in both Japanese & English
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex hardware projects.
- Strong understanding of MCU/SoC architecture, design, and verification processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
