Summer 2026 Internship - June 22 - August 14

Must be currently enrolled full time in a university degree program pursing a master degree.  Must not have graduated before September 2026

Hybrid - San Jose, CA

We are looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our team and contribute to the development of machine learning models across a variety of use cases. During this internship, you will be hands-on in building, training, and evaluating AI models, while gaining practical experience with industry tools and embedded platforms.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and train AI/ML models using specific datasets tailored to targeted use cases.
  • Use Reality AI Tools to design, train, and evaluate model accuracy and performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to explore and validate models for embedded system applications.
  • Assess model performance and propose improvements based on evaluation results.

Qualifications

Required Profile

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with an interest in embedded systems. Must not have graduated before September 2026
  • Hands-on experience with Renesas microcontrollers, particularly the RA6 and RA8 series.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to explore diverse real-world use cases.
  • Ability to work within the European time zone.

Programming Skills

  • Good knowledge in C/C++ for embedded system development.
  • Scripting experience with Python for model development and data processing.
  • Familiarity with Bash scripting for automation and toolchain workflows.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to clearly document work progress, findings, and results.
  • Comfortable communicating updates to the team in a structured and concise manner.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of signal processing and feature extraction techniques.
  • Experience building graphical user interfaces (GUIs).

Additional Information

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $31.25/hr - $41.50/hr. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that the final offer amount, including any applicable bonuses, will be dependent on geographic location, relevant experience, and skillset of the candidate.
