About this role:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be expected to prepare structured and unstructured data for serving AI/ML applications, apply advanced analytical techniques to generate insights and solutions for business problems, independently grasp new technical concepts and critically judging their practicality and adaptability to our organizational environment.

Our AI Development team focuses on building enterprise-grade AI solutions to drive business impact across multiple domains. The team is covering the full AI lifecycle from data preparation to production deployment. We work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and practical AI solutions. Responsibilities

  • Aggregate, clean, and analyze data from various sources using Databricks tools and frameworks, preparing both structured and unstructured data for AI/ML applications.
  • Write and ensure clean, style-guide-compliant code that is reproducible for similar projects with awareness of optimizing queries and debugging skills.
  • Provide dashboards using Databricks Dashboard to trace AI effectiveness, and log data traces and metrics properly using MLFlow.
  • Collaborate with other data scientists, AI engineers, full-stack developers, and domain experts on cross-functional projects.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and trends in data science, applying them to the team’s operation.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Data Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics with a strong history of successful projects and in-depth knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Strong analytics skills.
  • Strong understanding of chunking and embedding strategies in RAG applications.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, PySpark and MLFlow.
  • Effective communication, documentation, and white-boarding skills.
  • Creative, curious, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Proven ability to achieve an efficiency increase by utilizing LLMs in coding, analytical, and communication practices.

 

Strongly Preferred

  • Familiarity with Databricks products and services.
  • Experience working with Apache Spark to process large-scale distributed datasets
  • Working knowledge of at least one major cloud ecosystem (Azure, AWS, or GCP); Azure is preferred
  • Have working knowledge of CI/CD.
  • Experience working with a geographically distributed and cross-functional team including systems integrators and third-party companies
