HRBP, High Performance Computing

  • Full-time
  • Employment Type: Regular (PERM)
  • Remote Work Available: No

Company Description

As one of the 4 pillars of Renesas business, High Performance Computing Product Group (HPC) is where cutting‑edge compute meets disciplined execution. The organization is focused on delivering major product roadmaps, building differentiated software and AI capabilities, and proving solutions through system‑level validation and real prototypes—often alongside open source and partners. It’s a global team that values strong governance, clear accountability, and continuous improvement in methodology and ways of working.

As an HRBP in HPC, you won’t be “supporting from the sidelines.” You’ll help build the team and operating model that makes the work possible: hiring critical skills, strengthening leadership capability, driving consistent talent actions across regions, and delivering high‑impact people initiatives from planning through execution. If you want scope, complexity, and visible business impact—this is it.

Job Description

Role Summary

This role is the right hand to the Global HR Business Partner for HPC and supports HPC leaders and teams worldwide. You will own global HRBP programs end‑to‑end—turning priorities into structured plans, driving execution, and ensuring outcomes land consistently across regions. This is a hands‑on role for someone who combines judgment, execution discipline, and strong business partnering.

What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)

Global Hiring Governance & Execution

  • Run the hiring operating model for HPC in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Finance (governance, tracking, approvals, and follow‑through).
  • Drive clarity on role needs (skills, level, location), remove bottlenecks, and hold leaders/managers accountable for progress.
  • Support decisions that require re‑sequencing, pausing, or reallocating hiring based on business priorities.

Performance Management & Talent Actions

  • Lead consistent execution of performance cycles and talent actions across countries (timelines, manager enablement, case support, documentation).
  • Coordinate leader decisions and ensure actions are implemented with strong judgment and local compliance in partnership with country HR.

Engagement, Culture & Action Planning

  • Produce concise, leadership‑ready insights from engagement/culture data.
  • Drive cross‑division action planning and consolidate into a single HPC plan with clear owners and deadlines.

Leadership & Talent Programs

  • Run and scale global talent programs (e.g., mentoring) with clear selection guidelines, leader review steps, and rollout coordination.

Operating Effectiveness Initiatives

  • Lead practical, high‑impact initiatives that improve how the organization operates (e.g., meeting efficiency), including rollout, adoption, and measurement.

Executive Partnership / Coaching

  • Coach leaders on clarity, impact, and executive‑ready communication (tight narratives, decision framing, and crisp materials).
  • Support preparation for sensitive, high‑stakes interactions requiring careful alignment and coordination.

Qualifications

    • HRBP experience in a global, matrixed environment with multi‑region stakeholder management.
    • Proven ability to run complex initiatives end‑to‑end (plan → execute → deliver outcomes).
    • Strong judgment and discretion with sensitive employee matters.
    • Strong analytical and operating skills (tracking, prioritization, synthesis); able to create executive‑ready PowerPoint and work comfortably in Excel.
    • Comfortable influencing senior leaders and pushing for clarity and accountability.

    Personal Attributes (Non‑negotiables)

    • Curiosity (asks the right questions; digs for root cause)
    • Diligence (high follow‑through; closes loops)
    • Strong ethics and character (trusted with sensitive decisions)
    • Growth mindset (learns fast; takes feedback)
    • Creativity (tries new approaches; learns from mistakes)

    Growth Opportunity

This role is a strong platform for progression into a Global HRBP role supporting SVP / C‑suite leaders, based on exposure, scope, and operating rigor.
