ENTRY LEVEL ROLE!

100% onsite in Columbia, MD

Join our AI Center of Excellence (AI COE) as a Graduate AI Engineer, where you’ll work on real-world sensor data and help build intelligent systems that power next-generation embedded solutions. This is a hands-on role ideal for early-career engineers passionate about signal processing, machine learning, and software engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Signal Classification & Analysis

  • Work with diverse sensor data types including audio, vibration, accelerometry, electrical, and radar.
  • Analyze and process signal data to extract meaningful features and patterns.

Machine Learning & Data Handling

  • Apply machine learning techniques to large datasets for classification and prediction tasks.
  • Assist in model training, evaluation, and deployment on embedded platforms.

Field Data Operations

  • Participate in field data recording, labeling, and preparation for model development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and relevance.

Codebase Maintenance & CI/CD

  • Maintain and improve the team’s codebase, ensuring modularity, scalability, and clarity.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment of AI models and tools.

Collaboration & Support

  • Contribute to internal demos and customer-facing solutions.
  • Support engineering and product teams with insights from signal data and model performance.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s with up to 2 years experience or a recent Master’s degree with no work experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with signal processing and machine learning concepts.
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with embedded development environments.
  • Familiarity with data labeling tools and ML workflows.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
