Job Description

Renesas is looking for an Application Engineer who will work as part of the systems and solutions group to deliver turnkey solutions to clients.

The candidate would be working in high impact group closely with a highly supportive senior team.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum: Bachelors in electrical engineering / computer science / robotics or equivalent. Or, Masters Degree with no years of work experience in embedded systems or related work experience.

  • Minimum:
    • Proficient in working with Embedded systems programming.
      • Proficient in C/C++, shell scripting, Make / CMake, Linux  / POSIX OS architecture and programming.
      • Exposure to MCU and MPU programming and cross compilers.
      • Familiarity with linux kernel device drivers.

 

  • Basic understanding of embedded systems hardware.
    • Understanding of hardware functions like clock trees, uart, I2C, SPI, GPIO, device trees, etc.
    • Familiarity in debugging hardware and system level software.
    • Familiarity with arm architecture.

 

  • Nice to Have:
    • Familiarity with Python programming, unit testing and testing automation.
    • Familiarity with RTOS concepts and systems programming.
    • Experience working with Firmware and low-level software for ARM architecture like u-boot, Arm trusted firmware and Linux / RTOS kernel.

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $ 95,000- 118,000. This position is also eligible for 10% bonus opportunities and commission pay.  Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
