Job Description

We are looking for a candidate to work with the Engineering team to design the GaN power electronic device products and platforms.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design devices to meet the target device specifications (Including GaN Epitaxial design, device floor planning, layout, and fabrication process integration)
  • Perform device and process simulations and photo mask design.
  • Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) procedures including design reviews and FMEA.
  • Analyze on-wafer and package device testing data.
  • Coordinate reliability and product qualification testing and analyze reliability data.
  • Identify device design and process issues and implement solutions to improve performance and reliability.
  • Work with teams across the world to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Work with technical marketing and applications teams to understand device requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with GaN power electronics development, including simulation, design, testing and qualification. Emode GaN experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with semiconductor device fabrication process, tools and design of experiments (DOE). Experience of working with a foundry is a plus
  • Strong background in GaN materials, device physics, and failure modes preferred.
  • Experience with analyzing large data sets using statistical tools using SQL, JMP, matlab etc.
  • Experience with device characterization (IV,CV,switching tests), reliability testing and failure analysis.
  • Proven track record of creative problem solving in complex situations.
  • Strong communication skills across local and remote teams.
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science with focus on GaN or related fields.
