Job Description

Job Purpose:

Application engineer for power devices in automotive and industrial applications. Create and own subsystem attach silicon validation of functionality and functional safety. Develop subsystem validation plans, validation hardware, and execute validation plans including break the part tests. Work with product line systems and validation engineers to validate interaction of the power product in a subsystem

 

Principal Accountabilities:

Collaborate with product line system and validation engineers in developing attach validation plans

Design and develop test hardware for attach validation

Design and develop test automation and scripts

Debug and resolve any bugs in hardware and silicon

Create attach application notes

 

Key Performance Measures:

Effectiveness of attach validation

Effectiveness of attach application notes in helping design in

Share knowledge in and outside the company using technical collateral

Demonstrate elements of Spirit of Renesas in all aspects of work

 

Minimum Qualifications:

BSEE with 3+ years professional Experience OR MSEE with 2+ years professional Experience

Deep experience, knowledge and skills in power and digital silicon validation

In-depth experience with PCB schematics and layout and corresponding CAD tools

Experience with power integrity analysis using tools and techniques (Keysight ADS, Sigrity, Ansys, Hyper lynx) and silicon integrity analysis.

Experience with simulation tools such as Pspice and Matlab

Experience with EMI and ESD

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Experience with developing PCB hardware schematics and layout

Track record of successful new product validation

Test Bench Development: Design, setup and maintain mechanical & electrical test benches for different products

Validation Testing: Execute electrical validation and characterization of mixed-signal-ICs and building blocks according to the validation plan. Summarize validation results and generate a

product validation report.

Experience in Power integrity simulations, CMTI analysis and schematic design

Experience in using lab equipment’s like Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Power supply etc

Strong communication, technical presentation, and documentation skills

Cross cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Results-oriented and able to deliver on-time under tight schedule pressure.

Additional Information

Flexible to undertake occasional international travel at short notice.

Internal interaction with IC product architect, business marketing team, applications engineering team, and field teams in Renesas

External interaction with Renesas’s customers and partners
