Job Description

To reinforce our Application Engineering, Automotive Digital Products Marketing Division, based in Düsseldorf, we are looking for a highly motivated Staff/Sr Staff Application Engineer to join our team.

In your new role you will be responsible of:

  • The support of hardware solutions for Renesas 32-bit Automotive Microcontrollers 
    Contribute to new product definition and planning

  • The collection, definition, and follow-up on customer/market hardware requirements

  • Defining requirements for future Microcontroller products i.e., hardware, software, and tools, and discussing them with the respective development teams

  • Acting as a bridge hardware solutions with related software solutions, requirements, and tools

  • Working with internal marketing teams to define and roll out Renesas solution menus

  • The creation and presentation of supporting material such as Collaterals, Application Notes, Training, Reference Designs

  • Coordination and effective information exchange with Renesas Headquarters

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study. 

  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience 

  • Understand automotive system technical requirements and propose optimized products and solutions. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools and ecosystems 

  • Good understanding of schematics, layouts, and digital components 

  • Motivated to initiate and drive projects to completion with an open mind for working in an international environment. 

  • Good sense of understanding technical requirements and customer expectations 

  • Basic knowledge of development and manufacturing costs for commercial evaluation of the best system solution to propose to customers. 

  • Leadership skills to set direction for the development of projects and ability to negotiate optimal solutions. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and English skills. 

  • Creativity and team spirit.
