Position Overview:

Nearpod is seeking an experienced, inspiring and results-driven, SasS demand generation marketing leader for a Senior B2B Marketing Manager opening. Reporting to Nearpod’s Vice President of Marketing, this role is responsible for developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies and tactics that generate awareness, engagement and excitement for the Nearpod product line that results in qualified leads and marketing contributed revenue for Nearpod’s US K-12 business. 

As a member of Nearpod’s marketing leadership team, the Senior B2B Marketing Manager will directly manage one marketing manager, with the potential to expand, and will partner closely with other functions within marketing (e.g. digital marketing, product marketing, field marketing and events marketing), and with a growth and performance mindset, influence others and deliver impact to the company’s growth. Additionally, this collaborative leader will work closely with sales development, regional sales, customer success, curriculum content development, product and operations teams to implement marketing strategies and tactics to drive top of funnel demand that is likely to convert to new school or district implementations for Nearpod.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for the education community and marketing experience in EdTech  

  • Have marketing experience in fast-paced, software-as-a-service technology companies. Experience with a freemium-to-enterprise business model (B2C2B) a plus

  • Have experience creating and executing inbound and outbound integrated marketing campaigns - ABM experience a plus

  • Have experience leading or directly managing others and is ready for participation on a functional leadership team

  • Have a proven knack for building and executing top of funnel marketing campaigns – from first touch to SAL/ SQL 

  • Have a data-driven approach to measure, optimize and scale campaigns

  • Have a curiosity for testing new approaches to generate demand 

  • Thrives on being on a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team in a highly visible and collaboratively dependent role 

  • Have excellent project management skills including the ability to lead high impact initiatives, and keep complex projects moving forward

  • Develop and execute integrated, B2B marketing campaigns that meet or exceed lead generation, pipeline performance and marketing contributed revenue KPIs while amplifying the Nearpod brand

  • Leverage organic & paid channels, content marketing, email marketing, website, partnerships, social media and event marketing to execute effective inbound and outbound integrated campaigns within budget and ROI targets

  • Develop unique content assets or website content necessary to capture and engage target audience key decision makers that can be leveraged across multiple channels and at various stages of the buyer journey

  • Manage annual integrated marketing campaign calendar for B2B marketing campaigns

  • Effectively measure, iterate and continually improve campaign performance to demonstrate marketing impact on the business through regular weekly, monthly and annual reporting and ROI analysis

  • Implement a process to test and improve marketing message and tactic effectiveness to optimize campaign performance

  • Develop campaign briefs that provide core campaign messaging, campaign creative assets and other elements as needed to support cohesive campaign execution throughout all customer facing channels, including sales

  • Lead, manage, inspire and/ or indirectly influence team members and cross-functional stakeholders and agency partners 


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field

  • Experience with SaaS, education, B2C2B, freemium models a plus

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in B2B marketing

  • Experience managing others in a professional setting

  • Comprehension of the dynamics of the K-12 industry is preferred

  • Strong marketing writing abilities and attention to detail

  • Able to manage agency or designers to develop outstanding creative

  • Strong working knowledge of necessary systems and marketing automation tools is preferred, e.g. Google platform, Pardot,, Zoom
