Job Description

You will be a part of the content leadership team at Renaissance and oversee the process for ensuring content development across Renaissance’s worldwide portfolio of products is not only fair and appropriate but also inclusive, equitable, and representative. As content quality manager you will work alongside other content managers to advise on best-practices for content development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and will develop both internal and external quality assurance procedures for instruction, practice, and assessment products.

In this role you will:

  • Set vision for and own Renaissance’s overall strategy and guidelines for content appropriateness, diversity, equity, and inclusion in our instruction, practice, and assessment content.

  • Advise each product-line on additional product-specific guidelines, internal quality assurance procedures, and metrics for content quality and diversity.

  • Create and lead an external content advisory and review committee.

  • Provide training to content team members related to content appropriateness, global cultural awareness, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Renaissance sales and support staff to address questions related to our content guidelines and processes. Support customer conversations as requested.

  • Connect with a network of external DEI professional to stay current with trends and best practices.

  • Draft communications, presentations, and other materials to support our content quality, diversity, and representativeness across Renaissance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, social work, human resources, or another relevant field.

  • 5+ years of experience developing educational content: curriculum, assessment, instruction, and/or practice materials.

  • Demonstrated project management experience including successfully driving ambiguous, ambitious, strategic, and complex projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience implementing training curricula related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Advanced communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences (internal and external) at multiple organizational levels.

  • Self-motivated, dependable, independent worker who can efficiently and effectively prioritize work and solve problems.

Bonus points for: 

  • Master’s degree in education, psychology, social work, human resources, or another relevant field.

  • Multinational content development/management experience

  • Knowledge of core diversity concepts such as power and privilege, implicit bias, cultural competency, and social justice.

  • Knowledge of core quality principles such as lean, six sigma, or total quality management.

  • Experience facilitating inclusive conversations on challenging topics with multiple viewpoints, bringing people toward consensus, and implementing change management practices.
