Role Purpose
As a Spa Therapist, you will be an ambassador for the spa's philosophy, delivering exceptional treatments and personalised wellness experiences that reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality. You will play a key role in creating meaningful guest journeys that inspire relaxation, restoration, and connection to self and nature.
This role requires a highly skilled professional who combines technical expertise with genuine warmth, intuitive service, and a passion for holistic wellbeing. Every guest interaction should embody the values of authenticity, excellence, sustainability, and care that define both the spa and Park Hotel Kenmare.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Deliver a range of luxury face and body treatments to the highest professional standards.
- Create personalised treatment experiences tailored to each guest's individual needs and wellness goals.
- Conduct thorough consultations and recommend appropriate treatments, products, and wellness experiences.
- Ensure every guest journey is seamless, attentive, and memorable from arrival to departure.
- Build meaningful relationships with guests through exceptional care, professionalism, and discretion.
- Anticipate guest needs and consistently exceed expectations.
Wellness & Therapeutic Expertise
- Maintain expert knowledge of all treatments, products, wellness programmes, and spa facilities.
- Promote a holistic approach to wellbeing that aligns with the spa's philosophy and identity.
- Support guests in achieving their wellness objectives through professional guidance and recommendations.
- Participate in ongoing training to continually enhance treatment techniques and industry knowledge.
Operational Excellence
- Prepare treatment rooms to impeccable standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort.
- Maintain treatment equipment and ensure all spa areas are consistently immaculate.
- Adhere to all health, safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
- Accurately maintain treatment records and guest profiles.
- Support retail objectives through knowledgeable and authentic product recommendations and where necessary take part in team and personal target incentives.
- Assist with general stock takes and inventories in accordance with operational procedures
- Assist the Receptionists and other team members in treatment and product explanations.
- Ensure all spa stock is cleaned and securely stored in the stock cupboards daily, and that treatment cupboards are replenished as needed for the next therapist. Report any stock shortages immediately to the Spa & Wellness Manager.
- To undertake any other relevant duties as requested by the Spa & Wellness Manager.

Qualifications
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Recognised qualification in Beauty Therapy, Holistic Therapy, Massage Therapy, or equivalent to include both face & body treatments.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a luxury spa or wellness destination.
- Strong expertise in massage therapies, body treatments, and facial treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, warm, and guest-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- High standards of presentation and professionalism.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
