Job Description
Twin Farms in Barnard, United States, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender at Twin Farms, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through expertly crafted beverages and attentive service. This position requires a passion for mixology, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink
- Create innovative cocktail menus that incorporate Twin Farms' farm-to-table focus
- Maintain a well-stocked and organized bar area, including inventory management and stock rotation
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with tact and efficiency
- Collaborate with kitchen and dining room staff to ensure seamless service
- Conduct regular bar maintenance and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in training and mentoring junior bar staff
- Process payments accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer
- Participate in special events and functions as needed
- Stay informed about industry trends and continuously improve bartending skills
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Expert knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and spirits
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic math
- Knowledge of food and beverage pairing principles
- Understanding of and commitment to health and safety regulations in a bar setting
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support colleagues during peak times
- Passion for the hospitality industry and continuous learning
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software is a plus
- ServSafe Alcohol certification or willingness to obtain it
