Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Provide leadership and direction to all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, and Maintenance.
  • Uphold Relais & Châteaux brand standards through exceptional service delivery and attention to detail.
  • Manage the property leadership team (Executive Committee) and hold them accountable for strategy execution and performance within their departments.
  • Develop and execute business plans to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share.
  • Actively participate in sales discussions, meetings, and plans, and maintain relationships with key account executives.
  • Develop effective pricing strategies that support the hotel's positioning in the local market.
  • Provide proactive and regular communication to team members via Executive Committee meetings, daily stand-ups, and department meetings.
  • Stay informed about business trends, regularly reviewing and analyzing data to address changing market conditions and ensure budget compliance.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and utilize it to improve service delivery and recognize outstanding team member performance.
  • Maintain a professional image through appearance and dress.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage and Hour, and Health laws.
  • Act as a brand champion by promoting the Relais & Chateaux brand and ensuring all brand standards are met.
  • Assist with the annual budget process and monitor the budget throughout the year.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in luxury or boutique properties.
  • Proven track record of leadership, financial acumen, and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Relais & Châteaux standards and philosophy is a plus.
