Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Talent and Acquisition coordinator to join our talented Hotel Team. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, supporting our team to create truly memorable and impressive 5* experiences for our guests.

About Us

Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has almost completed a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 27 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as the occasional wedding and functions.

Job Description

The Offer 

·       £15,600 per annum

·       This role is offered on a part time permanent basis  24 hours per week  - Flexible in terms of days and office hours.

·       An additional share of service charge and tips (paid out 3 times a year)

·       28-day holiday including bank holidays ( pro rata based on hours)

Job Role

·        Production and placement of creative recruitment advertising

·        Placement of recruitment adverts across various media channels

·        Reviewing of candidate applications – including Pre-screening

·        Organisation of first interviews with Heads of Department

·        Take a proactive approach to recruitment by building relationships within the local area, colleges and universities

·        Producing offer letters and employment contracts

·        Ensuring all compliance and validation checks are done

·        Coordinate the first steps of new team members and ensure successful company ‘On-Boarding’ including assisting with induction, provision of uniform etc

·        Organising external training when requested

·        Keeping records of all completed staff training

·        Organising staff internal communication media

·        Managing staff benefits

·        Administration of our biannual staff surveys, performance review and trainings

·        Deliver a comprehensive Company induction to create a seamless onboarding journey for new candidates.

Develop and deliver service training and Relais Chateaux culture during induction

·        To produce monthly audit on training records, probation, and coffee chat by department.

·        Support gm and Hod to have in place various Welfare action and making sure this are delivered consistently.

Any otehr tasks required by the management 

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with the management team and team members.

Good use of creative writing and communication skills

Highly proficient in English language, both written and verbal

Strong organisational and administrative skills with a good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.

Think and act in goal-orientated manner and able to prioritise tasks in order of importance

A keen eye for detail

Experience in hospitality or hotel background is desirable

Previous experience in recruitment within an agency or in-house level is useful but not essential

Monday to Friday ( office hours) opportunity to work from home once a week
