Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Chef De Partie to join our Brigade of 11 talented Chefs. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, mentored by our exceptional Executive Chef; Carl Cleghorn, creating truly memorable and impressive 5*dishes for our guests.

About Us

Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 27 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as the occasional wedding and functions.

Job Description

The Offer 

Full time permanent position 48 hours per week ( on 4 days a week)

Salary £28000 per annum PLUS joining bonus of £2K split in 3 payments (payable at 3, 6 and 9 months)

Overtime paid

An additional share of service charge and tips (paid every 2 months, about 3.5k annually)

24-day holiday including bank holidays ( based on 4 working days a week)

Qualifications

About You

A truly talented Chef with a professional approach, great passion and flair for the industry and food

Experience at 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star environment is ideal or at least 5years experience in 2 AA Rosette within a similar role or above

You will be responsible for the preparation and service in a particular section supporting the team and helping colleagues

Bringing a calm mature approach with a resilient nature that Thrives under pressure

Natural ability as a chef with outstanding attention for detail

Dedicated excellent team player with strong communication skills

Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative and the Ambition to succeed at the highest levels

Strictly follow all food safety and health & safety procedures
