Job Description

The server is responsible for providing friendly, responsive service to create a warm welcoming and exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Each server’s primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, they will want to return again and again.                 

Fundamental Requirements:

·          Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.

·          Process guests’ checks, collect cash and process credit cards and room charges according to standards.

·          Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.

·          Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the standards, for mixing, portion control and presentation.

·          Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.

·          Be familiar with the POS system.

·          Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks and servicing the guest.

·          Follow all state liquor laws.

·          Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and when necessary report to management.

·          Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment. 

·          Maintain clean service areas.

·          Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.

·          Always clear all empty dishes from the table before dropping the final bill.

·          Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).

·          Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

·          High School diploma or equivalent.

·          2 years bartending experience at a luxury hotel or restaurant.

·          Proficient knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks. (bench test required)
