The Housekeeping Manager works under the direct supervision of the Rooms Division Manager. The Housekeeping manager has relationships with critical vendors and service contractors. There is an indirect relationship between all department managers. The housekeeping manager directly supervises all housekeeping staff.

Major Areas of Focus:

· All Housekeeping Functions

· Oversee Housekeeping Staff

· Maintain a knowledgebase of proper maintenance and use of equipment

· Maintain MSDS for the entire property’s chemicals and conduct chemical safety trainings as necessary

· Ensure rooms are turned over efficiently and to all expected standards

· Provide training and coaching to housekeeping staff

· Manage ordering and inventory of all housekeeping supplies

· Ensure all orders do not exceed the provided budget per month

· Maintain all grooming standards located in the employee handbook

· Maintain communication standards as directed

· Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all public areas and guest rooms

· Coordinate schedule for all housekeeping staff

· Ensure all schedules are in-line with the monthly provide budget

· Inspect guest rooms and all other public areas/offices to ensure cleanliness standards are being met

· Meet with staff individually on a weekly basis and email a recap of the meeting to management

· Conduct a monthly linen inventory and ensure all linen in use are up to par

· Resolve internal/external guest inquiries and/or complaints

· Utilize guest feedback to improve housekeeping operations

· Secure coverage for any call-out shifts

· Maintain a cleaning log of all guest rooms, public areas, and assigned areas

· Ensure staff are arriving on time and departing on time

· Ensure compliance with New York State Health Department Requirements

· Perform line-level duties when required

Scope of Work:
The Housekeeping Manager oversees all departmental operations of housekeeping and plans, executes, and verifies, the cleaning and production of all guest rooms and public areas. The Housekeeping Manager will be required to adhere to the provided budget when ordering supplies and creating labor schedules that will ultimately be based on hotel occupancy.

Qualifications

Housekeeping Experience - 3 Years
