Comfort fine dining Restaurant LIZZ stands for garden-fresh, light, seasonal and sustainable cuisine. Chef Remco’ Kuijpers love for healthy food is reflected in incredible vegetarian options on each menu. He carefully selects only the best ingredients, ideally from local suppliers and producers. All are harvested at the perfect moment and used in an exploratory way; authentic but always with a modern twist – taking into account the local setting of Weeshuis Gouda and its historical references. Chef de Cuisine Remco Kuijpers* (Fitzgerald, Rotterdam, The Netherlands) and Executive chef i/c of F&B Martijn Kajuiter* (the Cliff House Hotel, Ardmore, Ireland) have gained extensive experience in high-level gastronomy and worked with some of the most talented people in the industry. They are always eager to share their passion and use their know-how to create an unique and impressive culinary experience.

Job Description

In addition to the kitchen team of  fine dining restaurant LIZZ, we are looking for a:

Demi Chef de Partie

As a Demi Chef de Partie you will carry out, coordinate and manage in an autonomous and balanced manner all the operations of your party necessary for the setting up, preparation and dressing of dishes within the framework of the technical and aesthetic standards of the establishment. You ensure that our quality products are processed with love and care. You monitor the quality, identify specificities/defects and report these to the (sous) chef. You comply with HACCP and safety standards and supervise the students and/or trainees with whom you work directly.

You communicate collegially and effectively with the kitchen and restaurant staff. You are ambitious, think creatively about new dishes and like to share your experience and passion for our wonderful profession.

Qualifications

  • You have an recognized cooking diploma;
  • You speak at least Dutch and/or English
  • You have an EU passport or residence permit
  • Experience in a comparable five-star hotel is an advantage, but your motivation is even more important
