Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Vice-President, Global Sourcing, the Director, Indirect Sourcing is a trusted advisor to the business, partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create value and mitigate risk in strategic non-product purchases for the organization.  

In collaboration with key leaders, you are responsible for managing all aspects of procurement services for our Head Office, Distribution Centre, and Retail Sores. You increase profitability and return on investment by creating value in our non-product supply chain through sourcing and negotiation, by developing strategies and action plans to improve business performance and continuously optimize the RCL Procurement model.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a non-product sourcing strategy.
  • Independently lead and support strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations with a focus on cost and risk mitigation and fostering enduring value creation.
  • Act as subject matter expert to provide recommendations and guidance to internal stakeholders in the sourcing, procurement, and management of non-product goods and services contracts.
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships across North America, building value-driven vendor partnerships, focusing on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Communicate performance to Executive Leadership.
  • Collaborate across all departments to implement standard processes for Request for Quotations (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP).
  • Development and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and increased value.
  • Support consistency, transparency, alignment, and synergies among RCL functional groups, creating an environment to remove silos in sourcing execution and deliver an optimized sourcing solution contributing to company objectives.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor of Commerce or related field of study (MBA or certification in supply chain an asset);
  • 7 years + related experience in Procurement Management
  • Ability to build partnerships and influence outcomes, utilizing exceptional communication and negotiation skills as well as change management practices.
  • Commercially oriented, data-driven decision-maker with deep analytic skills, sound judgement, creativity, and a proactive approach to identifying and assessing opportunities.
  • Bilingual
