POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting the Vice-President, Marketing/Visual Presentation/ Ecommerce, the Director, Brand Marketing is the key driver of brand strategy and evolution, ensuring the Penningtons brand remains top of mind as a Canadian fashion destination. You will lead the team that brings that distinct and powerful brand story to life. 

A key leadership role, as Director, Brand Marketing you are part of a team that places our unique identity into focus and contributes to propelling our brand into the future. Your team will deliver best-in-class brand experience across all platforms.

Equal parts conceptual and strategic, this role taps into your ability to lead and focus on the brand and customer experience.

You will drive break-through ideas, deliver strong business results, accelerating our global brand awareness, and establish our unique positioning within our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Elevate the brand through a clear and unique market positioning and develop innovative initiatives and communication strategies to reinforce the positioning;
  • Evolved and refine the voice and content direction to align with brand vision and values ;
  • Work closely with Creative, Ecommerce, Data and Retail teams to bring strategies to life, elevating visuals and driving consideration and engagement;
  • Identify market opportunities and threats as well as forecast divisional needs and develops and oversee the implementation of marketing strategies accordingly;
  • Ensure that the brand teams stay connected with the target customer and to ensure the evolving needs are understood and satisfied;
  • Develop communication strategies and manage the development and creation of marketing tools and initiatives that effectively build brand, support divisional objectives and appeal to our customer.

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor of Commerce or related field of study;
  • 10 years + relevant experience, in strategic marketing direction, positioning, people leadership and budget management.
