Job Description

Reejig is looking for an ambitious and hard-working Data Scientist to join the team! The Data Scientist is a systematic innovator who is able to utilise their statistical, machine learning, programming and analytical expertise and skills to transform big data into meaningful insights. He/she/they will be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with other data developers, data engineers and software engineers to meet personal, team and company goals. 


As a Data Scientist, your work objectives and responsibilities include:

  • Being a reliable, subject-matter expert of data science and big data technologies, to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive talent intelligence solutions.
  • Assess and maintain the data quality metrics of existing data and new data sources, and being able to leverage the data collection process.
  • Effectively collaborate with other team members to design and develop robust data architecture for both delightful product and internal operational processes
  • Apply cutting edge data science and deep learning approaches to process complicated data and solve challenging problems, such as job talent matching, career move prediction, graph modelling with people data
  • Transform data into action insights by analysing large amounts of information and building statistical models. 
  • Maintain and promote standard and ethical data science practices and methodologies when working on data

Qualifications

  • Confidence in scripting with SQL and at least one of the following: Python (preferred), R, Scala, Java
  • Bachelors and/or Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant qualification
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge and experience in unstructured data mining and natural language processing techniques
  • Proven experience with creating and using machine learning algorithms and statistics including correlation analysis, regression, clustering, decision trees and deep artificial neural networks
  • Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
  • Familiar with the data science methodologies and complete data science project life cycle
  • Experience with Big Data frameworks such as Spark, Storm, Hive etc.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, EMR, Athena, SageMaker, etc
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, Theano, etc
