The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $43,500 - $56,600 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Manufacturing Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing operations. This position involves supporting production processes, overseeing the inventory and organization of tools, parts, and equipment used in a manufacturing as well as working directly with suppliers and vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Management: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and production teams to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all parts and materials, ensuring stock levels meet production needs.
- Ordering and Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to order parts, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery.
- Organization: Implement and maintain an organized parts room layout for efficient access and storage of materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to understand their needs and ensure they have the necessary parts available.
- Reporting: Generate reports on inventory usage, turnover rates, and stock levels for management review.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a related area or role
- Experience with Inventory Management systems
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
