Are you passionate about delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring smooth operations in a bustling restaurant environment? If so, we want you to join our team as a Shift Lead!
As a Shift Lead, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and supervising our team of servers, bartenders, and support staff to guarantee seamless shifts and maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing and/or supervising the essential duties and responsibilities of servers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Ensuring the effectiveness of the staff through communication, coaching, counseling, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures to optimize operations.
- Directing departmental operations in the absence of the manager and acting as an ambassador to clients, guests, and vendors.
- Investigating and resolving service complaints to achieve high guest satisfaction and peak staff performance.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the restaurant, implementing and enforcing assigned projects on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Mastering the use of Point of Sale system.
- Assisting in recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees to maintain a skilled workforce.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health Code guidelines to guarantee the safe and proper handling of items consumed by our guests.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and six months to one year related experience/training in a premier restaurant or banquet facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proficient use of Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet,
- Able to demonstrate good verbal, written, and communication skills with attention to detail and interpersonal relationships with guests and employees.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Attention to detail and interpersonal relationships with guests and employees.
- Must be able to relate to all different types of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Must establish trust between customers and the company, and must give the impression of sincerity, empathy and willingness to serve the customer.
