The targeted hiring range for this position is $11.13 - $14.04 per hour depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description

Wait Assistants help our servers and bartenders maintain impeccable and timely customer service by setting tables, serving, placing and replacing silverware, keeping beverage glasses full, adhering to sanitation and safety policies, and clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and the environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare designated areas by cleaning and setting tables as necessary.
  • Maintain table settings by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, assist with serving courses, refilling water glasses, and attending to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Perform preparatory duties as assigned (e.g., polishing and folding).
  • Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the entire restaurant.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Adhere to state and local regulations when handling alcohol.
  • Comply with all Health Code guidelines to ensure safe and proper handling of anything consumed by our guests.
  • Coordinate activities with all departments to ensure services are provided efficiently and timely.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications

Three to six months of related experience with serving experience; Good verbal, written, and communication skills with attention to detail and interpersonal relationships with guests and employees; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
