PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for collecting, sorting and cleaning laundry as well as maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel to provide high quality laundry for our guests.

  • Perform all stages of linen processing including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading washers, dryers and chutes, ironing, folding, pressing, storing, and delivering.
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area.
  • Maintain stock levels of linen throughout the property.
  • Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Perform guest and employee uniform laundry services as needed.
  • Promptly report all maintenance concerns and follow up on repairs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and one to three months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, bending, and crawling. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
