This position is a critical member of the Red Wing Marketing and Heritage brand teams. You will be the creative champion of the Heritage brand. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Brand Vision, Conceptual Thinking & Execution – Drive brand stories and concepts, look and feel, design and execution for the Heritage brand across all channels and mediums
  • Brand Standards – Develop, modify and continuously evolve global brand standards to ensure clarity of vision and purpose, and compliance of such standards across all mediums, formats and channels in terms of style, quality and tone of voice to drive global consistency
  • Content & Expressions – Own the creation of world-class creative, content and expressions for the Heritage brand, leveraging consumer insights, data, competitive intelligence and your own creative intuition;  Demonstrated fluency in both Digital (Web, Video, Social, Email) and Traditional (Print, Packaging, Collateral) formats and design best practices
  • Executional Excellence – Deliver flawless execution across all channels and mediums — from brand efforts to .com to email campaigns
  • Engaging Experiences – Champion the development of engaging brand experiences that surprise and delight all relevant customer segments across all preferred environments from brand event activations, trade shows, our 500+ branded retail stores, to online/web and more
  • Project Management – Liaise with Director of Brand & Creative and Project Management to ensure deliverables are managed both on-time and in-budget
  • Vendor Partner Management – While building relationship with current legacy vendors, seek to integrate new agency partners, production vendors and extend the quality of our execution and consumer experience
  • Relationship Alignment – Build internal alignment and relationship across the enterprise, ensure internal strategic and executional alignment with key stakeholders from Marketing and Business Unit Leadership, Sales, Product Development, Retail Operations, E-Commerce, and International

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in advertising, design or visual arts or a related area of study; Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Designer or Art Director
  • Experience with competitive brands or like-minded categories of business; B2C and B2B experience optimal; being passionate about footwear is ideal, but not required
  • Experience leading photography and video shoots is required; experience shooting content (photography or video) oneself is ideal, but not required
  • Experience or working with global brands, teams and assignments with large-scale brand identity programs is optimal
  • Innovative thinker, idea generator and creative problem solver with a willingness and proven ability to challenge the status quo with multiple unknown or ambiguous inputs
  • Exceptional inter-personal, collaboration, communication and team-oriented skills with an ability to translate vision to action and impact
  • Demonstrable ability to manage a high volume of creative output and executional excellence in parallel across an array of environments, mediums and channels – traditional to digital; Think “Digital-First” to drive a more contemporary, personalized and immersive customer experience

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Engagement with one or more different marketing services agencies
