Job Description

The Demand Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate demand plans for our global work business. They create operational forecasts by incorporating historical trends and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, new product development, customers, and other sources. They participate in our Sales Inventory and Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment of the forecast with sales leadership, Finance and Supply Chain.  The Demand Planner also provides input to the Supply Chain in developing inventory strategies for existing, new, and discontinued products.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university and two to five years of demand planning or forecasting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Forecasting certification preferred.

Candidates will have strong analytical aptitude and demonstrated analytical skills; Demonstrated business acumen; Knowledge of forecasting methodology; Critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills; Ability to openly communicate with people at all levels of the organization, including strong written and oral communication skills; Aptitude to lead via influence with demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills; Results orientation with a bias toward action; Ability spot opportunities to make a contribution or improvement and act on it appropriately; Tactical execution including managing competing priorities effectively, task and time management; Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel; Knowledge of and ability to use technology that enables effective demand planning (Logility, JDA, SAP, etc.)
