Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the coordination of shipping and warehouse activities for company directed products into and out of the NA Hub in Houston to ensure that maximum service is delivered to all customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure that customer orders are correctly processed in accordance with RWSC order fulfillment and customer service standards.

Interact with other departments to resolve any put away or picking issues.

Perform weekly Cycle Count and reconciliation activities

Receive and verify Customer Returns.

Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.  Ensure equipment, building, and racking systems are maintained for safe, efficient use.

Responsible for cost containment in use of materials, equipment, and other supplies

Participate in root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvements in operational procedures, practices, and systems.

Process small package shipments utilizing RWSC shipping system and on-line shipping applications. Performs appropriate end of day system functions.

Prepares appropriate packing lists for International orders. Communicates information to CE and transportation. 

Monitors shipping and warehouse supplies and submits request as needed.

Arranges LTL and local courier shipments.

Loads and unloads inbound and outbound trucks

Creates Master Pick List for order picker.

Supports picking, packing and receiving functions.

Supports Warehouse Coordinator with inventory control functions.

Operates electric stand order picker, pallet jack, hand trucks and other misc warehouse tools and equipment.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSC’s electronic communication software.

Maintain quality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization quality system standards.

Complete other duties as assigned by your manager.

Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.

Conduct self according to RWSC policies/Handbook.

CUSTOMERS:

Internal:             

Buyers, Customer Relations, Scheduling Dept., Customer Service, Sales Team,

Credit Dept., Business Unit Managers, Manufacturing, Inventory Manager

External:             

External truck lines, small packing carriers, Red Wing Shoe dealers

Maintains accurate shipping and inventory reports

 

Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·         Bending, stooping, lifting up to approx. 50 lbs, etc.
