Job Description

Perform maintenance work in all areas requiring structural, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and welding through a complete working knowledge of all phases of building maintenance to include: grounds, exterior, interior of building, roof maintenance, fire prevention.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain company assets and entire facility and understand and how maintenance impacts the overall financial success of the hotel property.
  • Assists and responds to guests requests in a friendly and positive manner, while providing the highest level of service.
  • Ensure the maintenance of structural and mechanical equipment.
  • Works as a team player in meeting guest needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments when necessary.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Uses personal protective equipment when needed.
  • Provide new construction, remodel and repair to all internal and external facility needs.
  • Provide external maintenance to the facilities structures and grounds.
  • Provide leadership for the maintenance management system for the facilities team.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED. One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar job.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as material quantities.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid Driver's License with excellent driver’s history
  • Boilers License (or ability to obtain)

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Understand preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, routine inspections.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees
  • Trained in use of lifts, ladders and power equipment.

 

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanics, Engineering, or related field.
