Job Description

Red Wing Shoe Company is looking for a Sr. Product Developer, focused on footwear development, for our Red Wing brands. This position reports to our Design & Development Manager for our work and hunt brands. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced product developer to build and expand our presence in the global marketplace.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years product development experience. Footwear manufacturing experience is essential.

Candidates must have excellent organizational and time management skills, the ability to solve development problems utilizing both shoe making knowledge and project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate ability to get results through collaboration with organizational partners. Candidates must be able to travel internationally.

Candidates should be very knowledgeable in technical footwear development.  This should include relevant experience in spec sheet construction, design translation, product and material testing, costing and advanced prototyping.  Experience with pattern engineering and project management is also preferred.  In this role the ideal candidate would be adept at working with multiple projects, brands and cross functional partners in their day-to-day role.  This candidate should also be comfortable leading group discussions and milestone meetings to sufficiently influence and impact their working teams.
