Job Description

  • Provide general management and strategic leadership for all aspects of manufacturing operations within a Value Stream to drive achievement of business objectives and continuous improvement of people and processes. 
  • Develop and implement manufacturing goals and action plans assuring alignment within other VSM’s and business partners to achieve business objectives: safety, quality, cost, productivity, delivery and people.
  • Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing system/process resources through effective assessment of capabilities and maximization of resources to improve current processes and procure externally where appropriate to achieve objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing team through effective assessment of capabilities, development of internal resources and leveraging external sourcing where needed to achieve objectives. 
  • Insure compliance with all company and regulatory policies and procedures. (e.g., safety, quality, finance, human resources).
  • Ensure on time, on brief, on cost and on quality production of new and improved footwear products.
  • Insure effective collaboration with other manufacturing locations, product creation, manufacturing process integration, and other business functions.
  • Achieve financial cost savings objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective manufacturing engagement in research and development of new/improved processes and machinery.
  • Train, develop, and manage salaried leaders.
  • Drive employee engagement; effective communications and positive employee/labor relations; ensure effectiveness of the staff through communications; salary administration; coaching/counseling; monitoring and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies and procedures; selection, training and development; and maintaining a safe, secure and legal work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university and seven to ten years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
