Job Description

This is a Contract to Hire position with the contract period to last 90-120 days before a decision about conversion is made.  We will only consider candidates interested in becoming a full-time employee after the contract period.

  • Collaborate with IT Business Partners, architecture and application development teams and key user subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between requirements, usability and performance needs. Assure that IT is strategically aligned with the business.
  • Become a subject matter expert in areas that this position supports.
  • Monitor the status of projects, assure that business objectives are met; set priorities and ensure standards are maintained for successful implementation and support of systems.
  • Articulate functionality of systems to business and IT teams at various level
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them to data, reporting or application requirements
  • Create and modify data mapping templates using SQL, DB2 or other appropriate tools.
  • Create ad-hoc queries as needed by the business to help resolve issues.
  • Research data discrepancies and debug technical problems.
  • Lead, schedule, coordinate, and facilitate stakeholder requirements gathering sessions
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements that will enable the design of flexible solutions to enable business strategies and align with IT architecture direction
  • Create and maintain requirements trace-ability
  • Debug data issues between systems
  • Validate data and application results that use data from mapped requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Math or related technical or analytical field from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project management skills
  • Leadership development
  • sound knowledge of software applications
  • in-depth knowledge of business practices in supported functions and systems analysis and design skills
  • Proven experience in design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
  • Prior experience as a Programmer/Analyst or Data analyst helpful
