Job Description

The Director of Supply Chain Finance serves as the strategic financial advisor for the Chief Supply Chain Officer and the Supply Chain Leadership team. Responsible for leading the activities of the Supply Chain Finance team, supporting manufacturing operations, strategic sourcing, cost accounting, fixed assets, and supply chain management. Manage finance and accounting activities and provide functional excellence in financial planning & analysis, reporting, cost modeling, working capital optimization, process improvement, internal controls and talent management.

  • Provide financial business support to the Chief Supply Chain Officer to drive operations strategy and deliver financial performance.
  • Partner across Supply Chain Leadership team on key initiatives and development of core processes.
  • Partner across the organization to ensure productivity actions are realized within the results.
  • Responsible for leading the activities of the Supply Chain Finance team supporting strategic sourcing, manufacturing operations, cost accounting, fixed assets, inventory, logistics and associated internal controls.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of financial information with internal and external parties. Support financial reporting standards for annual report.  Provide standard management reporting packages to communicate results, drivers and KPI’s for the business to aid in decision support.          
  • Develop forecasts and variance analysis to ensure achievement of key performance metrics.  Provide guidance on financial performance versus Annual Operating Plan and Forecast. Challenge assumptions, identify risks, opportunities and gaps to forecast and Plan to identify and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead complex operations analysis and summarize impact to broader business.
  • Ensure that accounting policies, internal controls and costing standards are followed. Partner with international subsidiaries for consistent and proper reporting of Cost of Goods Sold and inventory policy.
  • Support the annual external audit.
  • Organize internal and external bench marking of Supply Chain performance
  • Work with the Treasury and Supply Chain organization to drive improvements in working capital and cash with specific focus on inventory management.
  • Collaborate with Business Technology on financial system and system utilization, in addition to coordinating with IT to drive solutions for reporting improvements, ERP capability and ensures implementation of requisite system changes to support the business units needs.
  • Lead or participate cross-functionally on projects that deliver growth, continuous improvement, or compliance. Establish project teams and plans, assign responsibilities and facilitate meetings to ensure goal attainment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A/B.S.) required; preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field from an accredited College or University 
  • CPA or CMA preferred 
  • 10+ years cost analysis/reporting/multi-site manufacturing experience/business partnering
  • Established record of improvement through process improvement methodologies which result in organizational efficiencies. Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Proven experience building high performing teams, an inspiring and motivating leader capable of developing the team for succession; player/coach leadership style that creates an environment of accountability and illustrates a commitment to teamwork and delegation.  Is perceived as a strong role model and mentor for his/her team.
  • Demonstrated record of building consensus, trust, open communication, promotion of diverse perspectives, mutual support and empowerment.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.  Active listening skills are equally important
  • Must be able to travel to most foreign locations on an as needed basis
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel.  Basic knowledge in Word and Outlook as well as the ability and ability to optimize business technology tools to improve business processes
  • Excellent project management skills, organizational skills, communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team
  • Must be able to drive results and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with enterprise performance management systems, consolidation systems such as BPC and ERP’s
