Job Description

The Director of Strategic Retail Operations provides strategic guidance and leadership in operational excellence for our company owned stores as well as dealership partners around the globe. This role will be instrumental in collaborating cross functionally to develop strategic initiatives, processes and tools to effectively manage brand and operational standards in all markets, ensuring ease of implementation and successful local execution in the field.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a B.S. /B.A Degree in business or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years of strategic retail leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Global retail experience; Effective management of teams supporting retail field operations; Experience in end to end business process development and continuous improvement, resulting in organizational efficiencies; Experience in specialty retail and/or a dealership/franchise environment, including responsibility for merchandising, inventory management, store operations, performance metrics, and profitability; Direct experience in retail footwear environment, preferred.

Candidates will have excellent relationship building and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to get results through influence and collaboration with organizational partners; Strategic thinking with a demonstrated ability to provide and articulate the future vision for global retail operations and translate those into deliverables; Proven ability to develop business processes and tactical initiatives that improve retail productivity and performance; Strong communication and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and articulate business needs and challenges, and formulate pragmatic, effective recommendations for key business decisions; Ability to identify, create and establish metrics that are key indicators of performance, and provide actionable insights for the Retail Field Organization; Ability to navigate culturally diverse environments and understand how these should influence processes and practices; Exhibits knowledge and ability to incorporate emerging industry and technology practices when solving business problems; Understanding of retail sales incentive programs that align with business goals and drive expected behaviors;  Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook

 This job requires travel both domestically and internationally, and candidates will need a USA passport.
