Booking Coordinator

Job Description

Our client based in Telford looking for a booking Co-ordinator to join their team on a temporary to permanent full-time basis.

The role involves coordinating with customers and internal departments to ensure the swift and effective processing of confidential information between different parties and organisations.

Key duties/responsibilities

·To provide a customer-focused, professional, first point of contact service to their customers, screening and filtering calls appropriately, taking accurate and full messages and if necessary referring to a manager.

·Having a sensitive and person-centred approach to conversations which might be of a highly confidential nature.

·Ensuring all information and data is handled in accordance with data security and data protection procedures and relevant data bases and records are kept up to date.

·Offering non-technical advice and information regarding procedures, arrangements, queries and complaints and escalating them to the line manager if necessary.

·To handle all relevant queries and investigate, resolve or escalate to the appropriate manager in a timelymanner.

·To answer high volume incoming calls within three rings using company standardgreeting.

·Toadheretoallcompanysafety/riskproceduresandtotakenecessaryappropriateactionin accordance with any breaches of these procedures, specifically the Lone WorkerPolicy.

·To ensure that all correspondence is handled in an effective and efficient manner within agreed specifiedtimescales.

·To prepare for and participate in monthly one to one meetings with the Office Manager/Senior BookingsCoordinator.

Person Specification

We are looking for the ability to problem solve, attention to detail, good communication skills, especially written English. Above all, you'll have the drive and determination to make a difference to customers.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High levels of accuracy when handling high volumes of data
  • Excellent time management abilities, and the ability to perform repetitive work according to set procedures
  • Highly professional with a friendly and empathic manner
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A basic understanding of Data Protection legislation
  • NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or higher is desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • A good understanding of IT and the ability and willingness to learn new systems
  • Eligibility to reside and work in the UK

The company offers a competitive salary of £18,000 per annum rising to £18,500 after successful completion of the probationary period.

This is a full-time position which demands flexibility to occasional Saturday work.
