Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mid-Level Acquisition Professional to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) within its Program Execution Office (PEO). This is a unique opportunity to work within a non-traditional PEO, tasked with reshaping the acquisition landscape to deliver enterprise-level IT capabilities aligned with the DIA Chief Information Officer (CIO)'s strategic vision.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on contributor throughout the full acquisition lifecycle—from defining program strategies to developing acquisition packages and ensuring alignment with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) requirements. You will play a key role in supporting governance forums, driving process improvement, and reducing acquisition risk across a wide range of IT projects.

Location: Washington DC, Reston VA, OR Riverdale Park, MD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide stakeholders and program managers through acquisition lifecycle processes, ensuring quality and compliance

  • Develop, refine, and review acquisition artifacts such as PWS, IGCEs, J&As, and evaluation criteria

  • Lead efforts to improve IT requirement packages and accelerate source selection timelines

  • Provide actionable recommendations to align acquisition strategy with agency mission and evolving priorities

  • Interface with contracting officers, technical experts, and program stakeholders to synchronize execution with policy

  • Support key governance bodies including ARB, PMRs, IPRs, QPRs, and working groups

  • Promote agile methodologies to enable flexible, resource-optimized acquisition planning

  • Track performance and acquisition milestones using internal management systems

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a CI Polygraph

  • 10+ years of experience in federal acquisition and governance support

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience

  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DoD 5000 Series, and IC acquisition processes

  • Proven ability to manage complex requirements and interface with diverse stakeholder groups

  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DAWIA Level I, II, or III in Contracts or Program Management

  • Previous 1102 series Contracting Officer/Specialist experience

  • Experience as a Government Program Manager

  • Master’s degree in a related field with formal DoD/IC acquisition training
