Job Description
The Red Gate Group is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Administrator to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in maintaining and enhancing the SharePoint information architecture for the Directorate of the Chief Information Officer. This role is ideal for a strategic problem-solver with deep expertise in SharePoint development and administration, a strong grasp of knowledge management principles, and a passion for optimizing user experience in dynamic, mission-critical environments.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of SharePoint sites—including design, development, troubleshooting, enhancement, and user training—while ensuring seamless performance across development, test, and production environments. Your work will directly support operational efficiency and collaboration across DIA's IT enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, update, and troubleshoot SharePoint sites supporting the DIA CIO Directorate
Administer SharePoint environments (2010/2013/2016/Online), including workflows, lists, libraries, dashboards, and web parts
Develop new SharePoint capabilities using SharePoint Framework, JavaScript, JQuery, and related technologies
Design custom dashboards, visualizations, and reports to enhance user experience and data accessibility
Provide data mining and extraction support for content-driven solutions
Document system architecture, SOPs, and maintenance processes
Deliver user training and create support materials to promote knowledge transfer
Coordinate with internal teams to integrate SharePoint architecture into broader IT strategy
Attend planning meetings and contribute to the continuous modernization and improvement of SharePoint services
Support other CIO Directorate initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (Required)
10+ years of experience in SharePoint administration and development
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong understanding of SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), InfoPath, Forms Services, Enterprise Search, and Business Data Catalog
Proficiency in JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and web UI design
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and Visio
Excellent time management, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, mission-focused environments
