Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer II to support DARPA's Adaptive Capabilities Office (ACO). You will play a pivotal role in research, design, and development of advanced software solutions addressing critical national security challenges. Collaborate with top-tier professionals in creating innovative architectures and methodologies for highly integrated capabilities in contested environments.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI 
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
  • Possess Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility
    programs which may include database maintenance within an application area.
  • Experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting
  • At least three (3) years supporting research and development (R&D) Department of Defense (DoD) programs
  • Demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques
  • Demonstrated ability of make decisions independently on research and development (R&D) engineering problems and methods, and of resolve important questions and of plan and coordinate work
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in DARPA or similar organization is highly desirable
