The Red Gate Group is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Functional IT Business Analyst to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. 

As a Functional IT Business Analyst, you’ll work to develop leading-edge applications, websites, as well as IT systems and products. Working with your team of architects, developers, business analysts, DevSecOps engineers, data scientists and alongside project managers and security specialists, you’ll identify clients’ business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You’ll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you’ll guide your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you’ll deliver high business value products to mission users and clients. 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years of experience with gathering, decomposing, and documenting functional requirements
• 3+ years of experience in working with issue tracking and requirements management systems, including JIRA
• Experience with providing support to Agile delivery, including help with backlog maintenance, sprint planning, and release planning
• Knowledge of Microsoft office tools
• Ability to work on a multi discipline team, including engineers, security specialists, and project managers
• Ability to facilitate formal and informal discussions with clients and users to capture requirements
• Ability to create mock ups, wire frames, and activity diagrams
• Active TS/SCI Clearance

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Experience as a technical writer
• Experience as a software tester or test engineer
• Experience with IT strategy and communications
• Experience with Web content management
• Experience with Agile SAFE
• Knowledge of CMMI or maturity models
