Job Description

Red Gate is seeking a Senior Project Analyst to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Research and Development (RD) Program Management Office (PMO) Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) contract.  The Senior Project Analyst provides DTRA Research and Development (R&D) Directorate with analysis on project plans and proposes projects that deliver solutions and services to meet the business and product needs of the organization.  

 

Specific duties include: 

  • Gives support to and initiates appropriate project processes which ensure forward progress, highlight and mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with stated project objectives  
  • Assists project leaders as they scan the business environment to identify potential issues that may impact the quality of services, interfere with the organization's ability to manage its risks, and/or create opportunities to address these issues more effectively   
  • Organizing and facilitating project planning 
  • Employing communication between project stakeholders 
  • Developing schedule reports to include critical paths, driving paths, execution metrics, baseline metrics, and charts 
  • Providing analysis to support decisions to control project results 
  • Use SharePoint to organize documents 
  • Understanding capability gaps and assisting in setting project- and product-level strategy and priorities, ensuring portfolio is responsive and mapped to program goals 
  • Coordinating and consolidating complex, technical, programmatic, and strategic responses to support initiatives to a variety of internal and external audiences  

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate degree with 15 years’ experience or Bachelors with 20 or more years’ experience  
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent communication and time management skills 
  • PMI PMP certified (desired) 
  • Competent in MS Office, MS Project and SharePoint
