Job Description

Red Gate is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Research and Development (RD) Program Management Office (PMO) Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) contract.   The senior project manager provides DTRA Research and Development (R&D) Directorate with programs analysis, technical program/project management, systems analysis, acquisition analysis-support, project control analysis, project planning, tasker coordination/management, strategic planning, strategic communications, technical writing, and requirements management. 

 

Specific duties include: 

  • Produce program documentation, including requirements documents, test plans, program progress reports, and briefings 
  • Present to executive leadership project plans with supporting due diligence 
  • Maintain appropriate records per company guidelines, and as directed by the manager 
  • Develop project plans and execute projects per Operations guidelines 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders  
  • Manage the team’s work with project stakeholders and project teams while managing overall team performance and costs 
  • Assist in the setting project, and product-level strategy and priorities 
  • Coordinator responsive project communications of program goals and requirements 
  • Coordinate and consolidate complex, technical, programmatic, and strategic responses to support initiatives to a variety of audiences 
  • Create briefings and products for both technical and senior leader audiences 
  • Track cost, schedule, and performance of technical projects to ensure they continue to meet the objectives of the program 
  • Advise the program team on risk assessment and risk management, technology portfolio and pipeline management, business and contracting strategies, technology transfers, and intellectual property management 
  • Prepare ongoing status reports on project milestones and goals 
  • Develop and improve SOPs 

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate with 15 years of experience or Bachelors with 20 or more years of experience 
  • PMP certification 
  • Experience with acquisition strategy and execution 
  • Expertise with MS Office, MS Project and SharePoint 
  • Excellent communication skills for interface with customers and with team members  
  • Experience managing, planning, and coordinating project activities; reviewing proposals 
  • Experience determining the schedule, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
