You will drive legal strategies against trademark infringements, counterfeiting, unfair competition, and unauthorized use of our intellectual property while leading a team of legal professionals and external counsel.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced IP lawyer with strong leadership capabilities to combine hands-on legal expertise with legal strategy and people management as well as regional responsibility.

Job Description

LEAD BRAND ENFORCEMENT ACROSS EUROPE

Take ownership of Red Bull’s European brand enforcement activities and ensure consistent implementation of enforcement strategies across all markets in Europe. In collaboration with your regional Brand Enforcement colleagues in the Americas and APMEA you will identify risks, determine priorities, and drive actions that protect the integrity, exclusivity, and value of the Red Bull brand.

MANAGE HIGH-IMPACT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MATTERS

Lead and oversee complex and business-critical trademark oppositions, cancellations, counterfeit and parallel import cases, customs seizures, trademark infringement, unfair competition matters including court litigation. You will assess legal risks, define enforcement approaches, and make recommendations that support Red Bull’s long-term brand protection objectives.

DRIVE LEGAL STRATEGY & EXTERNAL COUNSEL MANAGEMENT

Collaborate with and instruct external law firms across Europe, ensuring high-quality legal advice and effective execution. You will review legal writ filings, cease-and-desist letters, settlements, court submissions, and enforcement actions while providing strategic guidance and maintaining consistency across jurisdictions.

LEAD AND DEVELOP A HIGH-PERFORMING TEAM

Manage and mentor a team of Brand Enforcement Attorneys and Paralegals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development. You will provide both legal and people leadership, while ensuring efficient allocation of resources and responsibilities.

SHAPE BRAND ENFORCEMENT & ANTI-COUNTERFEIT STRATEGIES

Continuously develop and refine Red Bull’s brand enforcement and anti-counterfeit strategies in response to evolving legal landscapes, market developments, and emerging threats. You will identify opportunities to strengthen brand protection and enhance enforcement effectiveness across the region.

EXECUTIVE STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY

Act as a trusted partner to the Global Head of IP, providing regular updates on key cases, enforcement trends, and regional developments. You will also oversee the European enforcement budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.

Qualifications

Law degree and qualification to practice as a lawyer

8+ years of experience in Intellectual Property law, with trademark and brand enforcement focus

Previous leadership experience with responsibility for managing and developing teams

Strong experience in trademark enforcement, oppositions, cancellations, litigation, customs matters, counterfeiting, trademark infringement and unfair competition cases

Experience gained in a leading law firm and/or multinational in-house legal environment

Excellent analytical, investigative, legal research, and problem-solving skills

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and advise senior business leaders

Proven ability to manage external counsel and coordinate complex cross-border legal matters

Excellent communication and legal drafting skills in English and German

Experience managing budgets and multiple priorities in an international environment

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 2.760,- gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
