Company Description
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the Junior Legal Counsel will focus on first-level legal support. Specifically, you will perform legal transactional work under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel. You will handle several commercial agreements while resolving various legal questions for a broad range of client teams. There will be close collaboration with all legal team members, both in the U.S. and potentially abroad, including at a senior level.
Job Description
FIRST LEVEL SUPPORT FOR CORE MATTERS
Provide accurate and relevant legal support for commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating various agreements (e.g., services agreements, hospitality agreements, NDAs, venue agreements, sponsorship agreements, merchandising agreements).
You will support various client teams with actionable legal guidance and create and update templates and other legal service tools for daily operations.
Requires daily interfacing with client teams, including marketing, media, sales, operations, and in-house service departments.
LEGAL INBOX TOPIC MANAGEMENT
Support legal intake by addressing the varied ,complicated questions that come into the “Legal Inbox” (an email inbox contacted by the commercial team with a wide variety of legal questions and needs), or are referred by legal team members, including issue spotting, researching, and consulting applicable legal department team members or other stakeholders in the organization.
Provide practicable recommendations
Involves working with an intake Paralegal who manages the Legal Inbox.
IMMIGRATION
Oversee all US immigration legal needs related to Red Bull’s marketing activities, including events, media projects, and activations within the US.
Involves consulting outside counsel to provide strategic advice on realistic timing, costs, and risks.
Qualifications
1-3 years of relevant experience practicing transactional law, including at a corporate law firm or in-house legal department.
Experience with marketing and/or entertainment law is a plus.
Juris Doctor (J.D.), California Bar Member
Strong attention to detail and a desire to get things right, balanced with the ability to work with creative personnel in a flexible environment.
Self-starter (and self-stopper) with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. That means an ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision, meet demanding deadlines without sacrificing the quality of work product, excellent time management and organizational skills, and an understanding of when to stop and ask for help.
Excellent judgment and the ability to solve problems pragmatically.
Project management skills.
Ability to communicate about complex legal topics in easy-to-understand terms.

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $128,250 to $141,750 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified. Range may differ for NYC & SFO Bay Area work locations
