Our clients are leading building and civil engineer contractors based in Nairobi, Kenya. They provide projects with high quality construction development and management services in order to achieve safe and quality construction works. 


They are looking for candidates with a background in the building and Construction industry to join their team.

Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day decision-

The successful candidate will report directly to the company CEO 

Track weekly program of work versus site progress 

Update weekly Program of Work and take corrective measures when needed 

Ensure all site orders are kept in order at all times 

Prepare bi monthly Budget review and cash flow forecast 

Manage bimonthly Site meeting with the Client and the relevant design consultants 

Report weekly and monthly to the Clients and the management the relevant design consultants 

Manage all variations, additions and omissions 

Ensure client invoicing is completed on time in liaison with the Finance Department 

Identify, negotiate, contract and manage subcontractors 

Supervise direct sub-contractors to ensure standards of building performance, quality, costs, schedules and safety are maintained 

Control payment to sub-contractors by valuation of completed works Ensure all site requisitions are planned and submitted on time​ 

Review and approve site requisitions​ 

Control quality of the supplies​ 

Ensure all supplies are received, handled, stored and dispatched as per the Company policies​ 

Monitor suppliers performance 

Ensure & Monitor quality of supplies​   

Ensure & Monitor timely delivery of supplies​ 

Ensure & Monitor Workmanship of subcontractors

 Timely delivery of subcontractors 

 ​In charge of obtaining and managing all regulatory approvals​ 

Report to Company Management – daily, weekly and monthly​ 

Ensure implementation of the reporting and processes in all the sites as per the company requirement 

Qualifications

Have a relevant Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction 

At least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry (must)  

Experience in water and sanitation projects would be an added advantage  

Have strong mathematical skills and be detail oriented  

Self-drive and ability to multi-task  

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines  

Honest, hardworking, dedicated and organized  

Strong Excel skills  

Have strong communication and inter personal skills 

 Excellent oral and presentation skills  

Strong knowledge of the construction industry and its various stages and stakeholders
