Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Analyze financial data and variances, providing insights to management for decision-making.
    • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Oversee and manage the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Monitor invoicing, billing, and payments from clients, ensuring timely collection.
    • Reconcile vendor accounts and process supplier payments, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  3. Taxation and Compliance:
    • Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant taxes.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and identify any potential tax liabilities.
    • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements within the airline industry.
  4. General Ledger Maintenance:
    • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate coding of all financial transactions.
    • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  5. Audit Support:
    • Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and reports.
    • Implement audit recommendations to strengthen financial controls.
  6. Financial Systems Management:
    • Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) to process transactions and generate reports.
    • Ensure the accounting systems are up-to-date, secure, and in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  7. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and HR, to ensure alignment between financial goals and organizational operations.
    • Provide financial support and guidance to department heads to manage budgets effectively.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the airline, aviation, or service industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with airline service cost accounting is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess financial data, trends, and variances.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing and reporting financial data.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to management.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions within tight deadlines.
